In July of 2003, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission awarded Action Community Development of Boston (ABCD) a grant to develop and administer an Independent Living Center. With these funds, The Multi-Cultural Independent Living Center of Boston, Inc. (MILCB) was established.
MILCB is a consumer oriented, community-based organization that provides independent living services to individuals (and their families) of all ages who have disabilities, and who live within our service area.Our Core Services promote self-pride, independent decision-making, self-determination, equal access and self-help.
